Installation Guide

WaterlineSurf uses v2RayTun as the recommended client across all platforms. v2RayTun is powered by the Xray Core engine and supports VLESS, VMess, Shadowsocks, and Trojan protocols. Follow the steps below for your operating system.

Windows

Requirements: Windows 10 or Windows 11

Visit the v2RayTun official website or download the installer directly from the link provided on our Download page.

Run the downloaded .exe installer and follow the on-screen prompts.

Once installed, launch v2RayTun from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

The application will appear in the system tray. Click the tray icon to open the main window.

macOS

Requirements: macOS 12 (Monterey) or later · Supports Apple Silicon (M-series) and Intel

Open the App Store on your Mac and search for v2RayTun, or use the direct link on our Download page.

Click Get and authenticate with your Apple ID to install.

Open v2RayTun from your Applications folder or Launchpad.

On first launch, macOS may ask for VPN configuration permission — tap Allow to continue.

iOS / iPadOS

Requirements: iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 and later

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for v2RayTun, or follow the link on our Download page.

Tap Get to download and install the app.

Open v2RayTun. When prompted to add a VPN configuration, tap Allow.

Android

Requirements: Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later

Open Google Play Store and search for v2RayTun, or use the direct link on our Download page.

Tap Install and wait for the download to complete.

Open v2RayTun from your app drawer.

Grant the VPN permission when prompted.
